NAB Show New York: FOR-A Booth to Highlight Video Switcher, Graphics & Signal Processing Technologies

Cypress, CA, October 11, 2017 – At the upcoming NAB Show New York, FOR-A® will showcase some of its popular video switcher, graphics and signal processing solutions. FOR-A will exhibit in booth N224 at NAB Show New York, which takes place October 18-19 at the Javits Convention Center.

FOR-A video switchers shown at NAB New York will include the compact, cost-efficient HVS-490 and HVS-100 units. Offering 4K-UHD and 3G capabilities, the HVS-490 is the latest solution in FOR-A’s line of HANABI switchers. The unit began shipping over the summer to a wide variety of customers, including houses of worship, video equipment rental companies and event spaces. With use of optional input and output expansion cards, the HVS-490 supports 40 inputs/18 outputs, 36 inputs/20 outputs or 32 inputs/22 outputs, including two-channel HDMI outputs. In 4K-UHD, it allows 10 inputs/six outputs, nine inputs/six outputs or eight inputs/seven outputs. It also has 16 channels of 2.5 DVE as standard and can be optionally expanded to a maximum of 32 channels. The HVS-100 portable video switcher boasts exceptional cost performance, and features mixed HD/SD input, a built-in Web server, clip memory, frame synchronizing, re-sizing engine, 2.5D wipe effects, DVE, Chroma keyer and DSK.

FOR-A will also showcase ClassX's premium graphics suite of solutions at NAB New York. FOR-A is the exclusive distributor of the ClassX solutions in North, Central, and South America, and customers now have the ability to integrate ClassX real-time broadcast graphics with FOR-A video switchers. FOR-A will also have a booth display showcasing ClassX software solutions integrated with broadcast news ticker solution Super Ticker. Created by Ontario-based company Bannister Lake, Super Ticker is a scalable, multi-channel, multi-user data aggregation and display control system for use in any broadcast, PEG, sports, signage, or venue application that requires automated data display and control.

At NAB New York, FOR-A will also show its FA-505 multi-channel/multi-function signal processor. The FA-505 supports 3G-SDI and HD/SD-SDI input/output as standard, provides up/down/cross-conversion on each input, and allows 1080i to 720p, or 720p to 1080i conversion. The unit provides highly versatile audio signal processing capabilities with delay adjustment and remapping functions, plus a sampling rate converter. FOR-A's FA-505 provides optimal functionality for all video production scenes, including those used in transmission, outside broadcasting, news reporting, production, editing and distribution.

FOR-A will also show the ODYSSEY Insight multi channel video server in its booth. Designed specifically for environments with evolving infrastructure that requires flexible file support, ease of use and event synchronization, the Insight video server offers a wide range of supported wrappers and codecs, and is an excellent tool for media contribution and video playout tasks.
