Versatile FOR-A signal processors are available in models offering 1, 2, 5, or 10 channels of frame synchronization (FS). Input and output are freely assignable. From multiple inputs, choose the signals assigned to each FS channel, and choose the output terminal assigned to output from FS and internal conversion. For each FS output, various forms of signal conversion can be configured, including frame syncing, frame delay, resolution conversion, processing amplification, color correction, and restriction within an optimal brightness range. Conversion between SD, 720p, and 1080i/p is supported by all multipurpose FOR-A signal processors except the FA-1010. Video resizing and aspect ratio conversion is also supported.
FA-505 and FA-1010 signal processors from FOR-A offer separate conversion for each channel, as well as multi-channel routing. Clean switching is built in, and the converted signals can be freely assigned to outputs. Independent signal processing for each channel and multi-channel routing make this series valuable in many video production environments.
Both analog audio and AES/EBU digital audio input and output are supported by flexible FOR-A signal processors, which can process audio signals along with embedded audio from each input source. Features for embedded audio include muxing, demuxing, sampling rate and polarity conversion, remapping, audio level adjustment, and delay.
