FOR-A creates online tutorial for new HVS-300HS switcher

Cypress, CA, April 7, 2009 - FOR-A Corporation has created an e-Tutorial on the new 1M/E, multi-format HVS-300HS HD/SD switcher. The online presentation can be accessed at www.for-a.com and provides a comprehensive overview of the compact switcher, which offers advanced functionality in a 1RU main unit.

Five short chapters provide a complete overview on the new switcher, starting with a quick summary of features, such as its built-in 2D and 3D DVE transitions. The eTutorial also reviews the variety of available system controls, which include a traditional control panel and compact remote control units.

One chapter of the eTutorial describes basic features of the HVS-300HS, such as a built-in keyer, DSK, and two still stores. Advanced functions are also explored, including the built-in 16-channel multiviewer, plus dedicated frame synchronizers and upconverters for each input. The final chapter discusses upgrade options for increased I/O and special I/O needs.

An online configuration guide, accessible through the eTutorial, allows the user to customize a system in eight simple steps and obtain a quote from FOR-A.

First introduced at IBC 2008, the HVS-300HS will be introduced to the U.S. market at the 2009 NAB Show in Las Vegas, Nev., April 20-23 (Booth SU3507).
