FOR-A Continues "Imagination to Creation" theme with array of new products at NAB 2009
March 30, 2009
Cypress, CA, March 30, 2009 - FOR-A's mission since 2005, characterized by its long-standing "Imagination to Creation" theme, has been focused on bringing products and technologies to market in response to specific customer demand. The company's latest offerings will be on display at the 2009 NAB Show in Las Vegas, Nev., April 20-23 (Booth SU3507).
"The development of new technology at FOR-A is closely linked to innovation. That search to realize what broadcasters imagine as a possibility has long been the driving force behind the development of new technology at FOR-A," said Susumu Hotta, President, FOR-A Corporation of America. "The array of new products we're bringing to this year's NAB Show is a direct response to what customers have requested."
This year, as in years past, FOR-A has expanded its product line to meet the demand for products that satisfy an appetite for HD content while accommodating legacy SD equipment. FOR-A's new FRC-8000, which will be unveiled for the first time at NAB, is a multi-format frame rate converter that is equipped with a new image processing board to perform HD and SD format conversion. The unit offers up, down, and cross conversion between a wide range of format signals, plus motion compensation processing.
Several new FOR-A products will make their U.S. debut at the NAB Show, including two new switchers. The HVS-5400 is the 4 M/E model of FOR-A's flagship digital video switcher that provides native support of 3Gbps 1080p signals. The HVS-300HS HD/SD Portable Video Switcher sets the standard for compact, multi-format switchers with 1 M/E and a built-in multiviewer.
FOR-A is also demonstrating its FVW-500HS HD/SD Video Writer (formerly named the MBP-100VW), which is ideal for illustrating sports color commentary or weather and news programs. Newly introduced multi-viewers and quad viewers include the MV-1610HS and MV-410HS, respectively, as well as FOR-A's new MBP-100CK HD/SD Chroma Keyer, a compact, standalone unit designed for ease of use and high quality. Plus, FOR-A will demonstrate the UFM-30DCC "3G Ready" Modular Digital Color Corrector and UFM-30FS HD/SD Frame Synchronizer.
