November 24, 2008
FORT LEE, NJ, November 24, 2008 - FOR-A, a leading manufacturer of video and audio systems for the broadcast industry, will demonstrate a range of products at the upcoming Government Video Technology Expo (Walter E Washington Center, December 3-4, Booth #457.) Among the products being showcased at GV Expo are the MV-1610HS and MV-16S 16-input multi-viewers, the FA-9100 frame synchronizer, the MBP-100VW video writer, the MBP100SX XDCam to baseband converter, the FRC-7000 frame rate converter, and FOR-A's popular line of HANABI switchers.
"The GV Expo continues to be one of the top shows of the year for FOR-A," said Mr. Susumu Hotta, President, FOR-A Corporation of America. "We're consistently responding to the video production needs of this market with products that can perform under the rigors of a 24/7 live broadcast environment."
The FA-9100/RPS frame synchronizer supports all video signal formats: HD-SDI, SD-SDI, HD analog component, SD analog component as well as NTSC/PAL analog composite. The FA-9100 uses 12-bit internal processing to produce high-quality images. The FA-9100 features additional options such as an up/down/cross-converter, color corrector, DV/HDV interface, logo generator, Dolby E encoder, Dolby E decoder, frame rate converter, and auto level controller.
The MV-1610HS multi-viewer supports mixed input of HD-SDI, SD-SDI and analog composite signals. High-resolution video output using a DVI terminal is included as standard. Support is also provided for user-created patterns and video transfer over a LAN connection. The viewer can be set to divide the screen in many ways, enabling the combination of small and large images. It also includes a layout editor which allows the user to make changes to split-screen patterns from a computer.
The MV-16S multi-display processor supports analog, digital, NTSC and PAL mixed inputs, is capable of UXGA and DVI high-resolution outputs, and is an ideal multi-display processor for large screen displays.
The MPB-100VW video writer features a Telestrator that responds to a finger's touch. The video writer allows a user to draw and point with a finger through an optional touch panel over HD/SD-SDI video in real-time. It has pre-programmed graphic shapes for ease of use, but can also process straight line and free-hand drawings. The video writer creates an array of lines that vary in color, edge width and thickness. Drawn objects can be moved, copied or deleted as needed during demonstrations.
Also on display at the show will be FOR-A's MBP100SX baseband converter, the
FRC-7000 frame rate converter, and FOR-A's popular line of HANABI switchers. The MBP100SX is capable of two-way conversion between MXF (XDCAM) files and HD/SD-SDI. The FRC-7000 HD frame rate converter can perform conversions between 1080/59.94i and 1080/50i, and between 720/59.94p and 720/50p HD frame rates in real-time. And it uses vector motion compensation processing to analyze and determine the pixel movement in each image frame. The HANABI HD/SD switchers come in a variety of configurations, ranging from 1 to 4 M/E, as well as an HD-SDI dual link switcher.
