| FOR-A to demonstrate 16-channel Multi-Viewer at IBC 2008
IBC introduction of MV-410HS four-input HD/SD Multi-Viewer and MV-410RGB PC- and Video-Compatible Quad Viewer
August 7, 2008
LONDON, UK, August 7, 2008 - FOR-A, a leading manufacturer of video and audio systems for the broadcast and professional video industries, will demonstrate the latest members of its MV series, the MV-1610HS 16-channel multi-viewer, a four-input version (MV-410HS), and a PC- and Video-mixed version with layout editor (MV-410RGB) at IBC 2008 in Hall 2, Stand A51/B59 during IBC 2008 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands from September 12-16, 2008.
FOR-A will introduce the MV-410HS, a four-input version of the MV-1610HS, and the MV-410RGB, a multi-viewer that supports mixed input of RGB signals (for computer monitor output) and analog composite signals with layout editor functions.
The MV-410HS is a four-channel multi-viewer that supports mixed input of HD-SDI, SD-SDI and analog composite signals. The MV-410HS offers high-resolution video output using a DVI terminal and supports user-created patterns and video transfer over a LAN connection. Other standard features of the MV-410HS include a layout editor that enables the operator to change split-screen patterns from a computer and network video transfer function.
The MV-410RGB multi-viewer is a four split-screen system that supports mixed input of RGB signals and analog composite signals. It includes high-resolution video output using a DVI terminal. A total of eight channels of input is possible - four digital/analog RGB signal channels with the DVI-I connector and four analog composite channels. Up to four channels are capable of simultaneous display and can be monitored at high resolution.
First introduced at NAB 2008, the MV-1610HS supports mixed input of HD-SDI,
SD-SDI and analog composite signals. High-resolution video output using a DVI terminal is included as standard. Support is also provided for user-created patterns and video transfer over a LAN connection.
The viewer can be set to divide the screen in many ways, enabling the combination of small and large images. It also includes a layout editor which allows the user to make any changes to split-screen patterns from a computer. A DVI output is available, which is well-suited for displays on large-sized screens. The layout software offers total flexibility to users to size and position any of the 16 inputs.
Key features of the MV-1610HS include:
- Mixed input of analog composite, SD-SDI, and HD-SDI signals supported
- Mixed frame rate support (ex. 1080/50i and 1080/59.94i, NTSC and PAL...)
- 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio supported
- HD/SD-SDI input embedded audio (eight channels) level display function
- DVI-I (1920 x 1200) high resolution output as a standard
- Positioning of input images in any division frames enabled
- Video loss detection
- Tally and title displays
- Embedded audio signal pass-through function
- Network video transfer function: LAN interface provided as standard for enabling transfer of output video over the network
The MV-1610HS multi-viewer is now shipping.
