FOR-A CORPORATION OF AMERICA WINS “STAR” AWARD FROM EDITORS OF TV TECHNOLOGY

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, May 8, 2006 – The FA-9000 HD/SD signal processor, dubbed gThe Processor,h manufactured by FOR-A Corporation is the recipient of the 2006 STAR (Superior Technology Award Recipient) Award given by the editorial staff of TV Technology magazine at the NAB2006 convention.
The STAR Award (Superior Technology Award Recipient) is designed to celebrate and showcase the preeminent technological innovations available to the broadcast industry. A panel of judges consisting of TV Technology editors and columnists reviewed a variety of products, examined the technical applications and their overall contribution to the industry, and then submitted their award nominees.

About “The Processor“
The FA-9000 frame synchronizing feature supports all formats, including HD, SD, analog, digital and audio. It uses 12-bit internal processing for high-quality images and features an extensive array of additional functions, including an up-converter, down-converter, color corrector, median-based noise reduction, logo generator and a Dolby-E decoder in a compact 1RU size.
The Processor supports all video signal input and output formats for digital signals such as HD-SDI and SD-SDI and for analog component (HD and SD) and analog composite. This one device can support all video signals from signal type conversion to format conversion. It also provides digital analog input/output for audio signals in the same way as video signals. A Dolby-E decoder can be installed for accurate monitoring and signal correction for surround signals in a multi-channel environment.
