High-level security organizations and government broadcast agencies need top-of-the-line video equipment in this period of heightened national security, said Hiro Tanoue, Sales Manager/ Eastern Region, FOR-A Corporation of America. FOR-A constantly responds to these needs, and will bring its very best products directly to this market at GV Expo 2005.
All the HANABI HD/SD Switching Power in 2RU
The new HVS-1000HS HANABI switcher is a one mix/effect version of FOR-As popular two M/E HANABI HVS-3800HS digital high- or standard-definition (HD/SD) switcher, which supports 1080i, 24p, 720p among other popular HD formats and standard definition. The HVS-1000HS switcher is a compact 2RU single chassis for use wherever space is at a premium. The SD/HD switchable, multi-format switcher is ideal for a wide range of government and military production and post-production applications. The HVS-1000HS HANABI also uses the first polygon-based HD DVE system available in the U.S., and supports NTSC, PAL and all high definition formats. Using real-time rendering, images can be mapped into 3D shapes such as page turns and spheres, and DVE effects can be created by full 3D processing.
A Galaxy of Choices
Ginga, Japanese for Galaxy, symbolizes the universe of options that the VPS-700 1 M/E digital switcher offers its users, including 2D DVE for every input, up to 16 SD inputs and outputs, six keyers, six chroma keyers, and six channels of 3D DVE. The VPS-700 GINGA switcher offers optional 2D DVE in every input, delivering up to 32 DVE channels and total flexibility for multi-source productions. It supports the 525/60 and 625/50 standard definition formats and is ideal for mobile production and in-studio broadcasting applications. It features eight standard inputs, each containing a frame synchronizer and still store feature using the F/S freeze and eight standard outputs, which can be increased by increments of four to up to 16 primary inputs, and 16 outputs. The VPS-700 comes with a total of six key layers: four M/E keyers for linear, luminance, with edge/shadow generation and key mask functions, chroma keys, and two downstream keyers (DSKs).
Top-Notch Video Stabilization for Surveillance Cameras
The IVS-300 video stabilizer assures near-perfect images even when cameras are placed in outdoor locations with significant wind and traffic vibration. The system corrects shakes and judders from both recorded images and live surveillance in vertical, horizontal and oblique directions at a maximum movement of 20 percent from a still picture. Movements can plague camera surveillance from atop buildings and bridges and over railway lines, especially when telephoto or zoom lenses are used. The IVS-300 removes unwanted movement but preserves intentional pan/tilt camera movements.
The IVS-300 is well suited for security and broadcast applications, particularly weather cameras. It is also an easy-to-install stand-alone unit with a video I/O. It can be connected between camera and monitor, or for multiple cameras, between a source selector and monitors. The system is so sophisticated that correction is precise to the sub-pixel level.
MC-10AD HD/SD A-to-D Converter
The MC-10AD HD/SD analog-to-digital converter converts HD or SD format analog component signals into HD-SDI or SD-SDI signals. Its DC drive is supported by the units portable size. The MC-10AD can be used by all HDV users for live production, news gathering and production recording. Its features include analog-to-digital conversion mode (minimum delay mode) and genlock mode (FS mode). It can also adjust the input black-level.
