CYPRESS, CA, NAB 2004 Booth #C5628, January 29, 2004 – Targeting emergency applications, mobile production trucks, remote flyaway kits and corporate video production studios with limited space requirements, FOR-A is introducing the new Clean Switch CS-HD1602 routing switcher at NAB 2004 (Booth #C5628). The Clean Switch can distribute high-definition (HD) signals with embedded audio in the 1RU frame.
The compact 16 x 2 HD-SDI routing matrix architecture enables error-free, switching and signal distribution of high-definition digital video signals with eight channels of embedded audio, and can be used for both simple-cut switching and as a backup router in emergency situations. HD signals supported include 1080/59.94i and 60i; and 720/59.94p and 720/60p. Serial remote control functionality is provided via RS-232C or RS-422 (selectable) protocols.
“FOR-A has identified a need for a high-quality, small routing matrix that can handle the high-bandwidth demands of HD signals,” said Hiro Tanoue, Sales Manager/Eastern Region and Central/South America, FOR-A Corporation of America. “The new CS-HD 1602 meets these requirements in a 1RU solution that is sure to be popular with a wide variety of professional video production professionals.”
Additional features of the CS-HD1602 routing switcher include high-quality FADE processing to ensure noiseless audio switching; user-selectable Tri-sync, Black Burst or Composite Sync modes that can be used as reference signals; GPI input and Tally outputs; as well as (optional) redundant power supply and an enhanced remote control.
