New Software Module Provides CRESTRON Control of FOR-A HVS-300HS HD/SD Digital Video Switcher
April 26, 2010
FORT LEE, N.J., April 26, 2010– FOR-A, a leading manufacturer of video and audio systems for the broadcast and video production industry, today announced its versatile and cost-effective HVS-300HS HD/SD Portable Video Switcher can be integrated easily into Crestron-controlled AV systems with a new software control module. The free software module will be available for download at www.Crestron.com within the next 30 days for Crestron dealers, partners, and customers with a Crestron account.
"Customers with conference rooms or multimedia systems that utilize a Creston controller can now easily integrate the HVS-300HS switcher into their workflow," said Mr. Hiro Tanoue, President and CEO, FOR-A Corporation of America. "It makes the programming a lot easier, especially compared to someone having to write a control module from scratch on site."
"It will be easier for dealers, programmers, and installers to integrate this particular device into a system that is controlled by Crestron," said Dominick Accurso, Creston Integrated Partner Program Manager. "Especially for an intricate device like the HVS-300HS, it's very helpful."
Crestron welcomed FOR-A as an integrated partner late last year, and this is the first cooperative effort between the two companies. The partnership demonstrates the compatibility of FOR-A and Crestron products, and removes an obstacle for potential project bids. "A client will rest assured knowing that Crestron works with FOR-A," Accurso added. "This opens up many different applications in the AV market for both Crestron and FOR-A."
